Another Carer's Blog Found

I found this blog recently. As far as I can see no-one has left any comments before - so this lady appears to have a low profile. You may like to visit to read. She started the blog in October 2006 and latest posting was on September 16th. I've added her to the blog links column. The following link will take you to the first entries: http://dementeddaughter.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html

Penny,

I wrote a comment (nothing to upset her) to the Demented Daughter a couple of days ago, but it was retained for her 'moderation' and not published.

It still hasn't been published and, in fact, the only published comment I could find in her last six posts - didn't look any further back - was the one from you.

No sweat. She is fully entitled to her privacy and I certainly wouldn't blame her if she is deliberately staying out of the loop. Take care, yourself, xx

Hello - don't know if I'm just being thick and not using blogger correctly but I didn't see any comments other than lady thinkers.

Happy to have comments, happy to hear people's tales of woe, joy or otherwise

Thanks maximum - will tell St Billy.

Henry - what is this and how do I get it _ ? Boots, Holland and Barrett or do I go trade with the druggies on street corners? ;-)

good heavens Henry - just did a google on 'Tyrosine' and found this " It is also the precursor amino acid for the thyroid gland hormone thyroxin, and a defect in this may result in hypothyroidism - an enlargement of the thyroid gland (goiter), severe growth failure, and retardation of central nervous system development.

A deficiency may also have symptoms of low blood pressure, low body temperature (including cold hands and feet) and "restless leg syndrome".

Sounds just like MyMan ...

Lady Thinker - just to add my 2p's worth - and a very unmedically educated 2p it is ....

My ex husband had a thyroid deficiency and depression was one of it's symptoms. His depression was exacerbated by his drinking - unfortunately - hence the 'ex'.

But it's definitely worth checking out the L-tyrosine.

Holland and Barrett

Take 1000mg a day on an empty stomach

ie half an hour before a meal or so

If it doesn't work I'll eat my hat.

Metaphorically speaking of course.

Im sworn off wheat, dairy, nightshade family plants, sugar and tea or coffee or chocolate for the next month as I lose the two stone that I shouldnt have on my frame.

Blame my mothers cooking and green and blacks.

Seriously though I am fed up Autumn is here where the f**k did the summer go?

ladythinker, thanks for your support a few weeks ago, I am really behind with responding to posts but did appreciate it,

Would Ltyrosone affect thyroid medication? I am some of those symptoms and take medication, just wondering if it would interact?

Maximum - thank fully my man doesn't drink. intersting tho the connection with low thryroid and depression again.

Thanks henry - will go and look at it see if it could possibly help. hold on to your hat ..>>
You shouldn't blame your Ma's cooking I'd blame the Green & Blacks. I'm trying to restrict my self to one daily square of the dark - for health reasons!

Elanor - thanks - that's Ok.
